What Lakely stands for

Lakely makes one thing: sofas that change shape when your life does. A sofa is one of the biggest things you buy for your home, and often the first to stop fitting when you move, start a family or share a place. We choose every modular sofa first for how it looks in a real room and how it feels when you sink in, then we write down every measurement, fabric and box so you know exactly what is coming. And because life does not wait, your sofa does not either: it is prepared within 24 hours and arrives in 3 to 5 days.

What makes a Lakely sofa modular

A Lakely sofa is not one fixed frame. It is a set of separate pieces that sit side by side. Depending on the model, the pieces are:

SeatsOne-seat or two-seat sections, with or without an arm.
CornersThe piece that turns a straight sofa into an L or a U.
Chaises and lounge endsA longer seat to stretch your legs out.
OttomansA footrest, an extra seat, or a chaise when pushed against a seat.

How the layouts work

Because the pieces are separate, you move them to change the shape of the sofa. On 27 of our 32 models, the product page draws every layout that model can make, seen from above. The other models also arrive in pieces, which makes delivery easier, but are shown in one main layout.

Example: the Boneless U-Shaped Sectional with Two Ottomans, 116 in makes 4 layouts with the same pieces.

U for movie night
An ottoman at each end turns the sofa into a cozy U where two people can stretch out.
Sofa bed
Push both ottomans against the front of the seats and it turns into a wide lounging bed.
L with a long lounge
Line both ottomans up on one side to build a long lounge end for lazy afternoon naps.
Extra seats
Pull the two ottomans away from the sofa and use them as extra seats or footstools when guests come over.

Measure in four steps

Measure the space. Width along the wall and depth into the room, leaving room to walk around the sofa.
For an L or a U, measure both sides. The chaise or the return adds depth: check the second number on the product page.
Measure the way in. Doorways, hallways, stairs and elevator. Compare them with the largest box listed on the product page, not with the assembled sofa.
Count the seats you need every day, then choose a model with an ottoman if you want an extra seat for guests.

Questions people ask about Lakely

What is Lakely?

Lakely is an online store that specializes in modular sofas: sofas made of separate pieces (seats, corners, chaises, ottomans) that you place side by side. It sells 32 models and ships them free to the contiguous United States.

Is Lakely legit?

Yes. Lakely is a Shopify store operated by Amethyst Ventures SAS, a company registered in France; its legal details are on our contact information page. Payments go through Shopify's secure checkout, and we never see or store your full card number. Our shipping, return, privacy and terms policies are published, every box has a tracking number, and you can write to us at contact@lakelyhome.com.

Can I see a Lakely sofa in a store?

No. Lakely sells online only, at lakelyhome.com. To help you choose without a showroom, each product page lists the measurements, the fabric, the fill, the number of boxes and the layouts the sofa can make.

How much does a Lakely sofa cost?

From $1,099 to $2,499, in U.S. dollars. Shipping is free, and a faux fur throw ($119 value) is added free to every order with a sofa while the offer runs.

How big are Lakely sofas?

From 42 to 145 inches wide, 35 to 84 inches deep and 25 to 39 inches high, with 1 to 6 seats. Exact measurements are on each product page.

What fabrics do Lakely sofas come in?

Polyester (6), chenille (5), velvet (4), fleece (1) and corduroy (14) models. Each product page names the exact fabric and the available colors.

Can I change the layout of my Lakely sofa later?

On 27 of our 32 models, yes: the product page draws every layout that model can make, such as an L, a U, a straight sofa or two loveseats. The other models arrive in pieces but are shown in one main layout, so check the product page before you buy.

Where do Lakely sofas ship from?

From a warehouse in the United States. Your sofa does not cross a border on its way to you.

Do you ship to Alaska or Hawaii?

No. We ship to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories or APO/FPO addresses.

Will I pay customs or sales tax?

No customs or import duties: your sofa ships from inside the United States. Sales tax, where it applies to your address, is calculated by the checkout and shown before you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are prepared within 24 hours, 7 days a week, then delivered in 3 to 5 days by FedEx, UPS or USPS. These are carrier estimates. Boxes may arrive on different days, and each has its own tracking number.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, you get an email with a tracking number for each box. You can also follow every box on our track your order page.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Only before it ships. Orders are prepared within 24 hours, so contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Once your order has shipped, our return policy applies.

Will a Lakely sofa fit through my door?

It arrives in 1 to 6 boxes, never as one large piece, and 17 models arrive compressed. Compare your doorways, hallways and stairs with the largest box listed on the product page.

Do I need to assemble it?

18 of our 32 models need no assembly: you unbox the pieces and place them side by side. Delivery is to your doorstep, and in-home placement is not included.

What is Lakely's return policy?

You can return the complete order within 14 days of the delivery of the last box, unused and in its original boxes. A return for a change of mind has a 50% restocking fee, and return shipping is paid by you. Single modules cannot be returned on their own. Details in our return policy.

What if a box arrives damaged?

Report it within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, photos and a short video of the box, the label and the damage. You pay nothing: we replace the damaged module.

Does Lakely offer a warranty?

Yes. Every sofa has a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the frame, seams, zippers and connectors, and against missing parts. Normal wear and softening of foam are not defects. Details on our warranty page.

Which payment methods does Lakely accept?

American Express, Apple Pay, Klarna, Mastercard, PayPal, Shop Pay and Visa, through Shopify's secure checkout. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
