We were tired of buying the same sofa twice. Not because it broke, but because life moved around it. So we built Lakely around one idea: one sofa, every layout.

Why we started

Life moves. Most sofas can't.

A new apartment puts the window exactly where the chaise needs to go. A baby turns movie night into floor time. A roommate moves in, or moves out, and the living room changes shape overnight.

With a one-piece sofa, every change ends the same way: sell it for almost nothing, and start shopping again. It is one of the biggest things you buy for your home, and often the first to stop fitting.
